Finding, pricing, and evaluating award tickets involves working through a complicated landscape of loyalty programs, redemption choices, and constantly changing transfer ratios. Our knowledge and experience help maximize the value of your points. Session 1: Flight Research & Strategy (1-2 hours) • Review client airline status benefits (if any) • Teaching client to use travel search tools and award search tools to find the best deals • Positioning flight strategies and routing options • Award availability searching across multiple airlines • Points value calculation (cost per point analysis) • Education on transfer partners and transfer ratios • Determining airline seat configuration and class options (for business or first class options) • Identification of desired flights for upcoming trip Session 2: Hotel Research & Strategy (1-2 hours) • Review client hotel status benefits • Teaching client to search hotel award availability • Points transfer options for hotel programs vs. direct booking • Comparison of cash rates, points rates, and portal bookings • Points value calculation (cost per point analysis) • Walkthrough of optimal booking approach Deliverable: Identify preferred hotel options Additional Guidance (1-2 hours) • Paying with cash but maximizing point generation through credit card and portal stacking • Teaching client to utilize Rakuten for hotel, airline, rental car, excursions, and airport parking bookings with cash if necessary and stacking with credit card • Discuss importance of setting up username and passwords for all airline and hotel chains with the same name as on the credit card to minimize issues with transfer after selection of destination and booking of flights/hotels • Walkthrough of optimal booking approach for your specific trip (These are consulting sessions. Client ultimately responsible for booking flights, hotels, rental cars, excursions and airport parking.)
